Charlie Pouch - Wide

The Charlie Pouch - Wide is a low profile, but highly expandable general purpose (GP) pouch built around our unique Charlie Pass Through™ System. Designed to maximize storage and organization without adding unnecessary bulk, it gives the end user multiple ways to carry mission-essential equipment in a low profile form. 

Unlike traditional GP pouches, The Charlie Pouch - Wide provides three independent storage areas: a loop-lined main pocket, an expandable front pocket, and the Charlie Pass Through™, which opens both horizontally and from the top, allowing for multi-use organization, retention, and storage. 

Whether mounted to a placard, chest rig, back panel, cummerbund, or any other MOLLE platform, the Charlie Pouch - Wide securely carries admin items, magazines, medical, breaching equipment, tools, initiators, communications equipment, EUDs, drone controllers, goggles, monitors and more.

The Charlie Pass Through™ System:

When empty, it lays completely flat, maintaining the pouch's streamlined profile. When needed it expands horizontally to create additional storage for items that don't fit well inside conventional GP pouches or require rapid access.

The hook-and-loop top opening transforms the pass through into a secondary admin pocket, while maintaining the horizontal storage capability.

• Two integrated tie down points
• Compatibility with Charlie Zippers and Horizontal Pass Through Deletes (HPDs) for users who prefer to close the horizontal opening while retaining top access

The main compartment is loop lined on both sides allowing complete customization using our Rigid Insert System or other compatible hook-backed organizers.

• Q: What are other common use cases outside of mounting on placards?
• A: The Charlie Pouch - Wide is also commonly used on back panels, chest rigs and cummerbunds to provide highly expandable, versatile storage and organization. 
• Q: How much does the pass through expand?
• A: It depends on how much you have in the main and front pocket. With the main and front pockets full you can easily fit 2x PMAGs in the pass through. With the pockets less full you can fit up to a M18 smoke grenade size item in the pass through.
• Q: What size inserts fit in the pass through?
• A: The pass through has a full loop field on the body side and a 1" x 8" hook field on the opposing side. Any of the inserts from our Rigid Insert System will fit as well as any inserts on the market that are either hook backed or hook and loop backed. 
  
• Q: If the pass through is empty does it cause the Charlie Pouch - Wide to sag?
• A: No, the pass through stays completely flat when not used and does not cause the the main pocket or front pocket to sag at all. 
• Q: What if I want to use just the top opening of the pass through? 
• A: If you want to close the horizontal openings of the pass through you can either use Charlie Zippers or Horizontal Pass Through Deletes (HPDs). These will close the horizontal openings and then the top opening can be opened or closed by the hook & loop closure that is already in place. The HPDs are designed to not reduce the storage capacity of the pass through. 
• Q: How wide is the top opening of the pass through?
• A: The top opening of the pass through is 7.5" wide.
